  • Using his investigative journalistic skills, Zeisloft painstakingly chronicles the different states where bills of abolition were introduced. These bills would treat abortion not only as a sin that needs to be repented of, but a crime that needs to be penalized by law.

Description

The pro-life establishment insisted to their Christian and conservative supporters over the course of several decades that Roe was the main factor preventing them from ending abortion in the United States. Yet even after Dobbs, abortion rates not only started to rise in predominantly Democratic states, but also in predominantly Republican states where the pro-life establishment has massive political influence, especially because of a trend toward self-managed abortions.

But anti-abortion Christians in many of those states, in both the years under Roe and after Dobbs, became increasingly convicted about the need to establish equal protection for preborn babies. As they preached to the culture and submitted legislation in order to accomplish that objective, they found themselves opposed not by the Democrats, nor by the pro-abortion entities, but primarily by the pro-life Republican establishment lawmakers and lobbyists.

Forsakers of the Fatherless examines the pro-life establishment in their own words and actions, demonstrating that the main opposition to abolishing abortion in much of the United States comes from the very pro-life interest groups and political actors that Christians and conservatives trust to represent their priorities on the sanctity of life. Driven by a hesitance to criminalize all parties involved in the murder of preborn babies, as well as a constant fear of losing their political influence, the pro-life establishment has employed considerable time, talent, and treasure to subvert and oppose the end of legalized child sacrifice in America.

Hear from leaders of the pro-life establishment in several exclusive comments and interviews as they fail to provide a consistent answer as to how they will bring about the end of abortion in their states. Learn how God is on the move, despite these patterns of compromise and cowardice from the entrenched pro-life leaders, in individual believers, church bodies, and entire state political processes as Christians awaken to their duty to establish justice for the fatherless.
