The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit

Teaching the faith to new believers, and to older saints, has a venerable history. One thinks, for instance, of Augustine’s influential Instructing Beginners in the Faith. This catechetical work on the person and ministry of the Holy Spirit follows in the line of such didactic tools and I heartily recommend it as a solid introduction to who the Holy Spirit is and what He does.

Family worship doesn’t have to be complicated—and this guide proves it. Each entry gives parents a simple, faithful path for teaching children the doctrine of the Holy Spirit through Scripture, teaching, prayer, song, and catechism questions. It’s rich enough to grow your children’s theology and gentle enough that any parent can lead it. As both a mom and an educator, I’m so thankful for this wonderfully accessible discipleship resource.
